2. Data We Collect

When you use the Fueltide App, we process the following personal data:

• Account data: Email address, name (via Apple Sign-In)
• Workout data: Workouts, exercises, sets, repetitions, weights, workout duration
• Body measurements: Body measurements and body weight
• Chat messages: Messages you exchange with the AI coach
• Exercise library: Custom and modified exercises you create
• Subscription data: Information about your subscription and payment status (processed via RevenueCat and Apple)
• Health data: Data synchronized via Apple Health (only with your explicit consent)

3. Purpose of Processing

We process your data for the following purposes:

• App functionality: Providing fitness tracking features, storing your workout history and progress
• AI coaching: Providing personalized training recommendations and chat-based advice through our AI coach (Anthropic Claude)
• Payment processing: Managing subscriptions and in-app purchases via RevenueCat and Apple
• Health sync: Synchronizing health and fitness data with Apple Health (only with your consent)
• Data synchronization: Syncing your locally stored data with the cloud to enable cross-device access

4. Legal Basis

The processing of your personal data is based on the following legal grounds under Art. 6(1) GDPR:

• Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): Processing of account, workout, and subscription data is necessary for the performance of the app usage contract.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): Processing of health data via Apple Health and the transmission of data to the AI service are based on your explicit consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): Processing for the purpose of improving app security and troubleshooting is based on our legitimate interest.

5. AI Services and Data Transfer to the United States

5.1 Anthropic Claude

Fueltide uses the AI service Anthropic Claude for personalized training advice. Anthropic’s servers are located in the United States (USA).

5.2 Data Transferred

When using the AI coach, the following data is transmitted to Anthropic:

• Your chat messages to the AI coach
• Relevant workout context (current exercises, training history, body data) to enable personalized recommendations

5.3 Purpose

The data transfer serves exclusively to provide the AI coaching service within the app.

5.4 Safeguards for Data Transfer to the United States

The transfer of personal data to the United States is carried out on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR. This ensures that your data enjoys an adequate level of protection even outside the European Economic Area.

6. Hosting and Data Storage

6.1 Cloud Hosting

The Fueltide App uses Supabase as its backend service. Data is hosted on AWS EU-West (Ireland) and is therefore stored within the European Union.

Supabase provides the database, authentication (Supabase Auth), and real-time synchronization.

6.2 Local Data Storage

Fueltide follows an offline-first approach. Your data is first stored locally on your device in a SQLite database (via PowerSync). Synchronization with the cloud occurs as soon as an internet connection is available, allowing you to use the app fully without an internet connection.

We work with the following third-party providers:

We have entered into data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR with all third-party providers that process personal data on our behalf. For data transfers to the USA, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) apply.

8. Cookies

8.1 Website Cookies

The Fueltide website uses only technically necessary cookies that are required for the operation of the website. No tracking or marketing cookies are used.

8.2 Local Storage in the App

The Fueltide App stores data locally in a SQLite database on your device. This serves offline functionality and fast data delivery. This locally stored data is not shared with third parties and remains on your device until synchronized with the cloud.

9. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): You have the right to obtain information about the personal data we process about you.
• Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You have the right to request the correction of inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): You have the right to request the deletion of your data, provided no legal retention obligations apply.
• Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR): You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your data.
• Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): You have the right to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
• Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): You have the right to object to the processing of your data insofar as it is based on legitimate interest.

10. Data Security

We employ technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

• Encryption: All data is encrypted during transmission using TLS/SSL. The database at Supabase is encrypted at rest.
• Secure transmission: All communication between the app and our servers is conducted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
• Access controls: Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel.
• Authentication: User authentication is handled via Supabase Auth with support for Apple Sign-In.

11. Data Retention and Deletion

• Account data: Retained as long as your account is active. After account deletion, your data will be completely deleted within 30 days.
• Workout data and chat messages: Deleted together with your account.
• Subscription data: Retained in accordance with legal retention requirements (up to 7 years for tax purposes).
• Local data: Data stored on your device can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the app.

You can request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time in the app settings or by emailing office@cloonar.com.
